I hope you had a wonderful holiday season as we did and are ready for a wonderful 2014.

I took a break from the cyber world, and spend lots of time with my boys.   Did a lot of shopping, gift wrapping, cooking, cleaning, organizing, movie watching, and we have been hitting the gym every day.   Other than that, not much, no work, no waking up early, just fun, fun and more fun.

I did some changes to my blog and store though, as part of the fun.  Do you like the new look?   I do, so I will stick with it for a while, but since I am truly considering switching to WP from blogger, I don't know what is going to happen. (jeje)

The SKdigis store is open again, also changed the look to match my blog and purged some images.  I will be adding new ones soon, I just need to make some samples first.

- Learn WP.
- Join some challenges.
- NO design team work this year (don't want responsibilities, datelines or any kind of pressure)
- Go out with my friends more often.
- Enjoy life outside the cyber world.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT - SKdigis Guest Designer

Today we have a new guest designer at SKdigis.  She is a FANtastic linking party winner and it is great to have her "IN THE SPOTLIGHT"... Please visit her blog at http://ktdesigns2013.blogspot.ca/ and stop say hi!  you'll love it there... :)

I am excited to be a guest designer today at SK Digis - I love Sonia's designs!  I live in Nova Scotia, Canada, and I'm in my late 40s.  I've been making cards for about 8 years; a friend asked me to do some stamping with her in 2005, and I had a lot of fun.  A few months later I took some card-making courses given by the recreation department in a nearby town, and I was hooked!  It's so fulfilling for me to make cards - I get the pleasure of making the card, and the recipient gets the pleasure of receiving the card - it's a win-win!  I started my blog on June 21, 2013 - I wanted to enter all of those fun challenges!  I enjoy making cards, and I love the inspiration I get from other bloggers.  You might be wondering how I chose my blog name.  Well... KT are my initials, Kitty is a nickname, and Fit Kitty is my user name on a fitness web site I used to frequent.  Since I was already set up with the name Fit Kitty on Google and Gmail, I decided to stick with it.  It would make me so happy if you would stop by my blog for a visit::  http://ktdesigns2013.blogspot.ca/

Here is the gorgeous card she made with the Snowboy Digi.  Isn't he the cuttest?...

Thanks for accepting my invitation! :)

IN THE SPOTLIGHT - SKdigis guest designer

Hello everyone!... Today we have a new guest designer at SKdigis.  She is a winner from the FANtastic linking party and it is a great pleasure to have her "IN THE SPOTLIGHT"... thanks for accepting my invitation Edwina! :)

Hi, I am Edwina Brown. I live in New Jersey right now. I was born in Kentucky. I have 3 brothers who made life very interesting when we were kids.
I love animals but especially cats. We have a strawberry blond cat named Goldie. She is 18 years old.
I have had 10 years in art classes learning Oil painting, Watercolors, Pastels, and Acrylics, Charcoal. I like Oil and Watercolors best.
I have been crafting somehow in something since I had my first box of crayons. I was introduced to Scrapbooking in 2003. I then started making cards with Stamps and other supplies in 2004. In 2010 I tried my first digis. I used colored pencils. I decided I had to have Copics to get what I wanted. I watched several videos on using them then purchased my copics and started coloring. I now have over 100 Copics. It is very addicting this hobby. I love making cards and it makes me so happy when someone lets me know they like one of them.

... I love how this cards came out, very very pretty and I love how you mixed both digis on the first card...   Now, let's go say HI to Edwina.  Her blog address is http://edwinascreations.blogspot.com   She will be very happy to read tour comments...

Thanks Edwina!   It is a pleasure to have you here! :)

Welcome to "In the Spotlight" segment here at SKdigis.  My guest today is Lucy Patrick!... I have been admiring Lucy's coloring skills and carmaking in general for many years now. Thank YOU! ... and here is a bit about Lucy...

I am a happily married mum of 2 living in Australia who is obsessed with cardmaking! I started out scrapbooking but about 3 years ago I fell in love with cardmaking. I love using cute digi images mostly and I colour them with Copic markers. I also own an embellishments company called Flourish with a Bling. NATIVITIES - PESEBRES - A work of ART by Silvia Rivera

Hello my friends, today I have a very different post, but one I couldn't pass.  My only sister Silvia makes gorgeous nativities every year, and posted them this morning on Facebook and I wanted to share with you.  Aren't they the cuttest?  Well, she is in crafting paradise... our farm in the mountains in Colombia, there is where we learned all the basics of crafting from the best teacher we could have ever had... MOM!...  Ever since we where little girls, summers where spend up in La Papunga.  Back then, we only had black and white TV with 2 channels, so mom had to keep us busy and what better than crafting right?... We did lots of sewing, cross stitch, pyrography (wood burning), crochetting, but one I love the must was coloring books... we had lots of them and every year we had to go back and fix what we did wrong the year before... It was kinda boring sometimes back then, but now that I think about it, where the must wonderful days of my childhood... always creating...

But let me stop cause I am getting a bit melancholic.... AHHHH! those good old days when technology was not in the way! :)

So here they are

I hope you leave some love on this post so I can pass it along to her, and maybe it will convince her to join us in blogland...  She is a wonderful artist graduated from Miami International Fine Arts College back in 1987.

ALL THAT STICKLES - Black Diamond Deals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Black Diamond Deals Blog Hop brought to you by the All that Stickles design team!

The biggest shopping day of the year is just around the corner, and the ATS design team has put together some fun, sparkly shopping projects to help inspire those shopping lists! (And maybe the shine from all the glitter will help wake you up in the middle of the night to hit the stores!)

If you've come from Cathie's blog, you're in the right place! If you've just come across the hop, please visit All that Stickles.

And here is my card... it is supposed to be a project, but time has been very limited for me this days.  Between real work and "soccer mom" obligations, I have been super busy, but I was able to put this cutie together last night.
When I think of Black Diamond Deals, I think about shopping, shopping and more shopping, so I made this card to give to hubby and inside will say .... "How about NYC?"

The stickles used for this card where "Diamond & Black Diamond"
Black Diamond for the sentiment (glad the dropper has a tiny tip) and Diamond for the snow. I added some drops and rubbed it with my finger... Love the results!!!  hope you do too.

You can buy this image HERE
The image is one of my digital stamps, I colored it with the following Copic markers:
R22, R27, R37, R59, YG03, YG11, YG17, YG67, C0, C1, C2, C3, B99, E31, E33, E35
